Frequently asked questions:

The Veohtu Performance Programme is a distance-coached approach that is tailored, monitored, and organic in that it is constantly adapted to meets your needs with feedback, interaction, and communication.

To ensure a high-quality service, places on the performance programme are limited to ~15 athletes at any one time. When openings arise, I will advertise their availability.

Your training will be hosted on Google Sheets. You are paying for future, not historical, training. Sessions for forthcoming weeks will be released in two to four-week blocks, depending on the status of your current fitness / recent race recovery / recent or current injury / other factors that may inform the design of your programme.

The overall macrocycle towards your "A" races and major goals will be explained to you and designed in line with your initial screening feedback, initial consultation call, and ongoing feedback. While an outline plan is mapped out by your coach, the precise details of future sessions is not available to you because such details evolve as you progress with your training.

Previous training weeks will be hidden from view each month. You may request to receive your historical training at a cost of £10 per week. Such data will be emailed to you in PDF format.

A “month” constitutes one calendar month, which is the period from a particular date in one month to the same date in the next month, for example from April 4th up until May 4th.

Reasonable questions to help clarify sessions or provide urgent feedback related to illness or injury may be sent at any time. But please note that Thomas is not on demand and does not have e-alerts set up on his phone for any messaging or social media app. He checks his messages at set times during the week and will reply within 48-hours.

The fee you pay for subscribing to the Veohtu Performance Programme includes the following formalised contact:
One phone call consultation in Week 1.
One message PER WEEK (WhatsApp, or email) to resolve important issues or ask advice.
One phone call PER MONTH, at your discretion, to discuss progress and plans.

Matters for discussion must be related to Exercise- and/or Nutritional-Science (including dietary/sports supplements) and may include topics related to your development, progression and aspects of recovery.

Additional calls to your coach are possible but will be billed at £50 per hour (pro rata). That said, if your coach requests an additional phone call with you, such calls will not be billed.

Abuse of your coach's personal phone number, Skype number, SMS / WhatsApp messenger inbox, or email inbox will result in immediate cancellation of your programme without refund.

If for any reason (including illness or injury) you would like to pause your performance programme, you may do so at any time by contacting your coach. When requesting a pause, no back-dated refunds will be given but your payment(s) due in the following month(s) will be stopped until you request to resume your service.

You may pause your programme for up to 6-months. During the time of your programme pause, you will not have access to your training programme sheets nor will you receive training or advice from your coach.

When you resume your service after a pause, your coach will arrange a no-cost consultation to help your training resume appropriately.

If you subscribe to the Veohtu Performance Programme, you become eligible for the following discounts:
1. A "referral" discount if you successfully refer a new paying client.
2. A "clothing" discount against the purchase of Veohtu-branded merchandise.

After purchasing a coaching subscription you will be redirected to a health and fitness screening questionnaire. If anything arises during the screening process that precludes your eligibility for the performance programme, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid and the subscription will be cancelled.

Once you are successfully enrolled onto the online-coached performance programme and your coaching programme file has been sent to you, the first 3-month's payment is non-refundable.

Train smart. Get strong.
Run fast.

Your Veohtu Performance Programme will be designed by me, Thomas Solomon, using state-of-the-art scientific evidence combined with my years of empirical observation. I take pride in knowing that you are the only you and that your response to training is unique to you. I will, therefore, monitor your training and tweak it as your fitness evolves—I will not use a “one size fits all” template. My expertise has been honed following more than 10 years of advising and coaching, over 15 years of academic research at world-class institutions, and 20+ years of racing at a high level. I have a PhD in Exercise Science and have published more than 80 peer-reviewed publications in medical journals. I am also an ACSM-certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP), an ACSM-certified Personal Trainer (ACSM-CPT), a VDOT-certified Distance Running Coach, and a Registered Nutritionist. I have the experience, expertise, and proven track-record to fine-tune your engine and take you up a notch. And, because I have in-depth racing experience with middle-distance track racing (800m to 10,000m), road racing (5 km to Marathon), trail running, mountain running, and obstacle course racing (OCR), I truly understand what it is like to train and compete in these disciplines—I have literally “been there, done it, and gotten sweat, mud, and tears on my t-shirt”.

"I have helped hundreds of people achieve their fitness goals. Use my approaches and training philosophies to help achieve yours."

Integrity is at the core of my values.
I have pledged to the Clean Sport Collective to create positive change in supporting athletes who are committed to clean sport.
I am not affiliated with / sponsored by / an ambassador for / receiving advertisement royalties from any brands.
My advice concerning branded nutrition, hydration, supplements, and equipment is objective, based on personal preferences, and never influenced by affiliations, sponsorships, advertisement royalties, etc.
Any recommendations I make are, and always will be, based on my own views and opinions shaped by the evidence available. My recommendations have never and will never be influenced by affiliations, sponsorships, advertisement royalties, etc.
I have conducted biomedical research for which I have received research dollars from publicly-funded national research councils and medical charities, and also from private companies, including Novo Nordisk Foundation, AstraZeneca, Amylin, the A.P. Møller Foundation, and the Augustinus Foundation. I’ve also consulted for Boost Treadmills and Gu Energy on their research and innovation grant applications and I provide scientific research services for Examine.com. Sometimes my articles contain links to information provided on Examine's website but I do not receive royalties from those links. These companies had no control over the research design, data analysis, or publication outcomes of my work.
I do my utmost to use state-of-the-art, consensus, peer-reviewed and published scientific evidence combined with my empirical evidence observed in practice and feedback from athletes to inform the Veohtu Train Smart Framework.
The information I provide is not medical advice. Before making any changes to your habits of daily living based on any information I provide, always ensure it is safe for you to do so and consult your doctor if you are unsure
